From Burnout to Balance

Putney Mumpreneurs Talk: From Burnout to Balance

Thursday September 20 2018

The impact of burnout is very real. Lack of motivation, decrease in confidence and performance, increased moodiness, negative thinking, all of which lower the quality of life you desire and deserve. But this burnout is a signal, not a sentence.

Putney Mumpreneurs are very excited to welcome back Sarah, Founder of Sparks of Inspiration, who came to speak to us first in early 2017. I have known Sarah for many years as our first children are the same age. She is inspirational and understands the importance of not working on empty and how importnat it is to get the balance between being productive, running your own business and the juggles of life at home.

A lot of us have days where we feel exhausted, overwhelmed, helpless, overloaded, where we are dragging ourselves around and don’t want to get out of bed,.

But what if you’re feeling like this on most days? Then you might be suffering from a burnout.

Our bodies and brains are equipped to handle stress in short bursts, but not over long extended periods of time.

The impact of burnout is very real. Lack of motivation, decrease in confidence and performance, increased moodiness, negative thinking, all of which lower the quality of life you desire and deserve.

But this burnout is a signal, not a sentence.

There are things you can do to get yourself back on track.

Join Sarah on September 20th at Putney Mumpreneurs to find out what are the 5 key things you need to master to thrive not just survive.

Sarah will share with you practical tips and techniques (once applied) that will immediately change your current situation so you have more success in your career, relationships, health and wellbeing. More success without the stress.

Sarah Sparks is an award winning public speaker, executive coach, author and trainer whom shares the latest thinking & research into stress and burnout prevention. Her sessions are full of powerful ‘how to strategies’ that help people be more successful and improve all areas of their relationships, wealth, health and wellbeing.

Prior to founding ‘Choose to Thrive’, Sarah’s career was in finance and worked as an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs. Since suffering burn-out in her late 30’s she’s focused her career on helping others create the building blocks to prosper, grow and flourish at work and in life.

Grow your business to have it work without you

Putney Mumepreneurs talk - Grow your business to have it work without you

Thursday 28 June 2018

A chartered accountant by profession, Susan believes that while numbers are the language of business, they are not the be all and end all. Many businesses have the same challenges and by understanding and focusing on certain areas, you can eliminate chaos, bring control and deliver stable growth. She is looking forward to sharing some of her thoughts and revealing some top tips with us!

I met Susan earlier this year at a conference. She has a passion for business and some great ideas about how to grow your business so it can run without you … I have to admit that this rather appealed to me so I am delighted that Susan is coming to speak to Putney Mumpreneurs for our last talk before the summer holidays begin!

Susan’s talk will include:

  • Corner stones to ensure control in your business
  • 5 ways to increase your profits
  • How to build a business so it can work without you

Susan is a business growth specialist who works with business owners in small/medium size businesses to help them achieve from their business (and their life) what they set out to do. Most business owners start their business with real passion and with an aim of having greater control in their lives, more time to do the things they want to do and more money to enjoy. However the reality often proves very different. Her passion is working with business owners to make their dreams a reality as she knows they can be.

£35 per person includes networking, lunch and refreshments.

Please book in advance as places are limited.

No refunds once booked, but we are happy for you to transfer ticket to a friend, just let us know!

Impactful Communications Talk

Putney Mumpreneurs talk - Impactful Communications

Thursday, June 7 2018 at 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM

Putney Mumpreneurs are excited to welcome Pippa Bateman a successful Communication Consultant on Thursday 7 June 2018. Pippa has a wealth of experience including working with individuals and businesses to create and deliver powerful messages. One of Pippa’s areas of expertise is to get people get ready to speak publicly on big stages and to global audiences, including TED and TEDx.

In a world that is saturated with digital communication and social media, it is still the spoken word that holds court. So, if we want to change minds, spread ideas or get things done, talking beats typing every time.

The trouble is that many people underestimate the power of the spoken word. And this often comes at a cost. The idea not created. The opportunity passed over. The deal not sealed. The promotion not secured. The proposition misunderstood. The strategy not realised. The potential not reached.

Pippa will share with us how in an increasingly unpredictable and uncertain environment, building trust and mutual purpose has never mattered more. In all of our interactions, whether with clients, colleagues or simply when meeting someone new for the first time, we need to find ways to build deeper personal connections and create a lasting impression.

During the session Pippa will explore with you ways to harness the power of the spoken word and speak with confidence and personal conviction no matter how high pressure the situation – whether that be in a pitch, presentation, or simply introducing yourself to someone new for the first time at a networking event or dinner party.

Pippa works with leaders of FTSE 100 businesses needing to drive change. She also works with teams of people, designing and leading communication skills programmes on workplace confidence, pitching, presenting, performance management and professional gravitas. Additionally, she consults with entrepreneurs, CEOs and Founders to help them articulate their propositions for marketing campaigns, pitches, product launches or investor presentations.

£35 per person: includes networking, lunch, and refreshments.

No refunds once booked, but we are happy for you to transfer ticket to a friend, just let us know!
